I absolutely love small weddings, so I was really excited when one of my photographer friends sent me a referral of one of her friends. Pat & Teresa were married at the Shady Valley Country Club. It was my first time to visit this particular country club. The grounds were beautiful and Teresa picked the most amazing spot for her wedding in front of a lily-pad covered pond.
There was only one problem. It was absolutely POURING the day of her wedding. When I arrived, the event coordinator said they were planning to move the ceremony inside. Now, while at the end of the day, all that really matters is that you marry the person you love, I KNEW how important it was to Teresa to have her wedding where she planned. She had told me that all she cared about was her dress, the location she picked and twinkle lights.
Teresa arrived shortly after and the first thing she asked was if I could take pictures in the rain. I absolutely can! She said in that case, she WAS getting married outside, rain or not. Luckily, right before her ceremony, the skies cleared and we had an AMAZING sunset that made for one of my top images of ALL time. And, Teresa got everything she wished for too 🙂
