When my old co-worker contacted me and told me that her daughter, Anneka was graduating and needed senior portraits, I couldn’t believe it. I remembered the 12-year old version of this beautiful, independent young lady. Man, time does fly!
I always chat with my clients and help them pick out a location that fits their personality. Deep Ellum was the choice for this session, and it didn’t disappoint. There are so many wonderful textures and vibrant colors that just really pulled out Anneka’s fun personality and a sense of drama ;P As you can see, we had an absolute ball with this session!
One of the reasons Anneka selected Deep Ellum was this great music wall, because of her background in music. I love it just because its so bright and pretty! LOL
It looks like I had these gates painted to match her outfit, doesn’t it??
By this point, we were technically done with our session, but we couldn’t seem to stop with all the amazing murals. This is what happens when a silly teen poses herself…
And, by here, we were REALLY done, but this wall was made up of all kinds of classic movies that I grew up with. The wall is soooo busy, but I had her pose in front of it anyway. Anneka was so great at showing different personalities. I titled this one, “moody teen”. Its so “brat pack” looking to me <3
