Fort Worth Vietnamese Wedding Photographer: YWCA | Thuy & Tawanna

Meet my newest couple, Thuy and Tawanna.  I have been so excited about shooting their engagement session.  Tawanna told me that during the first part of their engagement session, that they wanted to wear the traditional Vietnamese tea ceremony attire, and then follow that up with some casual street wear.  We started our session at the beautiful YWCA and followed that with walking around downtown.  These two are so much fun.  Thuy loved the first part of the session most because he said he felt like an Emperor. LOL!

You will see more of these two next year for Tawanna’as bridals and their wedding!

Destination Wedding Photographer: Las Vegas | Robert & Patricia

Its becoming more and more popular for couples to get married at destination locations.  Robert and Patricia absolutely LOVE Vegas.  Since knowing them in less than a year, they have gone to Vegas at least 4 times.  It made absolute perfect sense for them to get married there and take their friends and family with them for their wedding/honeymoon:)

I was lucky enough for them to choose me as their wedding photographer.  The advantage to doing this was that we could meet before the big day, and I could handle all of their other portrait sessions. And, of course, my style was in line with what they wanted.  Many times the destination wedding photographers work for the resorts and may not be the best option for you, creatively or financially (you pay per print). I’m also available to capture all the small details of you getting ready, through the end of your day, whereas a resort photographer will only be capturing your ceremony and possibly your reception.

We ended up taking their engagement pictures in Vegas, Patricia’s bridals in Dallas, and then of course I shot their wedding day with the exception of the actual ceremony (The Venetian has an exclusive photographer), and their trash the dress session in Vegas.  During this whole process, I have really come to love these two.  They are amazing people and an even better couple. There are TONS of great images from the day.  I hope you enjoy them:)

If you are interested in me coming to your location or if you are planning a destination wedding, please let me know! I would love to chat with you about it!

Also, I want to give a VERY SPECIAL THANK YOU to Ashley Swallow for coming with me for the 5 days
and for being my guest photographer to help with this day.  I couldn’t have done it without you!

————————————————-

First, we walked around and took some images of the Venetian Hotel where the ceremony would take place and the Mirage, where the reception would be held.

While I was taking pictures of Patricia getting her hair and makeup done, Ashley was taking care of the guys.  I always find it funny how different the “girls getting ready” time varies from the guys:)  The guys obviously have more free time, so they took Ashley around to get pictures of them at the bar and then they jumped the fence to get some nice shots in front of the waterfalls.  Hey, I won’t tell if you don’t!

Then, they were off to their ceremony!  Ashley and I took a short break and then we met up with everyone again before the reception for some formal pictures of the wedding party and of Robert and Patricia.  They indulged me by walking all the way back to the front of the hotel to get their portraits in front of the Mirage Volcano <3

Finally, it was time for some fun at the reception.  And, man, when you are in Vegas for a wedding, you should party it up, right?  I think they (and we) succeeded!
