This past weekend we (Shanna & I) drove down to Austin to shoot Ron & Susan’s wedding. Susan is also a photographer, but obviously she couldn’t shoot her own wedding, so I was very honored that she selected me to be a part of her day. We had such a great time with their friends and family.
I wish everyone could see how much love Susan has for her daughters. She made such a point to include them in every part of the day. When I asked her if she wanted to do a “First Sight” (the bride and groom meet privately before the wedding for an intimate private session), she declined and asked if her girls could do it with Ron instead. I thought this was a wonderful idea and so unique. The girls were ecstatic that Ron was going to see them even before Mommy! Later, as part of the ceremony, they also had a commitment ceremony between Ron and the girls promising to support and be there for eachother and Ron gave them each a necklace. Then, at the reception, there was a Daddy/Daughter dance that was just precious.
Ron is such a wonderful caring man, and Susan is sweet, funny, and loves to party! I only think there was a couple of songs that I didn’t see Susan on the dance floor!
This was supposed to just be a “sneak peek” post, but I loved so many pictures, that I decided to just go ahead and do a full post of their day.
Special thanks also goes to Shanna Leigh for making the long drive with me and shooting with me.
